EECHA CHAOS PHL & NAPHL 2026/27
The Premier Hockey League has been successfully operating in Western Canada for 6 seasons. Founders Kelly Bruce and Kevin Hill have over 50 years’ experience playing, coaching, and running successful hockey programs. The League was started to provide a different development model to allow players to play hockey at a higher level than minor hockey allows under an enhanced development model.
The PHL runs a league for its member organizations. These member organizations are independently owned and operated and have chosen to participate in the PHL as all or part of their teams development.
The PHL continues to grow every year. We started in 2019 with 4 teams in one division and this year we expect to have 50+ teams in from Alberta, Western Canada.
The NAPHL is an Independent Hockey League that has over 15 years’ experience in Prep School Hockey. The goal of the NAPHL is to provide prep hockey programs with the best competition and exposure to Canadian and USA junior programs along with CIS and NCAA hockey programs. The NAPHL will provide a larger competition pool than participating in localized leagues and create options for North American Prep Schools to play a variety of opponents. They will be a Championship for all Prep Schools at the end of each year. The NAPHL will provide its members with a series showcase weekends, culminating with Championship in March.
The goal of the NAPHL is to provide Showcase weekend games and offer a variety of opponents. The NAPHL will focus on Varsity, U16, U14 and Girls age groups and try to offer exposure for players to move on to their next level of play in the future.
The NAPHL provides prep programs an alternate way to boost their prep hockey program and substitute for league-play, exhibition games and tournaments against other prep schools. The NAPHL is to provide a competitive environment that is fair, performance driven and promotes the importance of sportsmanship, and safety.
The NAPHL is a Independent quality league that prides itself on providing the best quality games in Showcases that they can. With our Showcases in convenient locations, game times and dates, the NAPHL really works with the schools/teams to offer the best schedule that accommodates the hockey programs but most importantly the student athlete.
The Eastern Elite CHAOS Hockey Academy (EECHA) is proud to announce its entry into the PHL, marking an exciting new chapter in elite player development. Built on a proven Eastern Canadian development model, EECHA was founded to meet the growing demand for a true skill-based training environment—one that prioritizes long-term athlete development over short-term results.
EECHA’s roots run deep in Eastern Canada, where top-tier athletes consistently receive between 150 and 250 hours of dedicated ice time each season to refine and master their skills. That philosophy has produced highly skilled, confident, and adaptable players. EECHA is bringing this same standard of excellence to the PHL, committing to over 175 hours of on-ice development for its athletes, supported by structured practices, high-tempo training sessions, and intentional skill progression.
At EECHA, hockey is more than just a game—it is a powerful vehicle for character development. Our program emphasizes discipline, accountability, work ethic, leadership, and resilience. We believe that developing great players starts with developing great people, and our coaches are committed to mentoring athletes both on and off the ice.
The overall objective of the Eastern Elite CHAOS Hockey Academy is to deliver a professional hockey experience in every aspect of the program. From preparation and training to competition and conduct, athletes are immersed in an environment designed to mirror the expectations of the next level. By combining elite skill development with a strong character foundation, EECHA prepares players not only to compete, but to excel as they advance in their hockey careers.
EECHA’s arrival in the PHL represents a commitment to raising the standard of development, providing athletes with the tools, training, and mindset required to succeed at the highest levels of the game.
